High Rollers celebrates 2025 ACT Judo U13 Athletes of the Year

Our U13 champions

Nick O’Neil and Aurelia Iarossi have been recognised as the best U13 boy and girl competitors in ACT Judo for 2025, capping off a year of hard work, courage and consistency on the mats. Their awards reflect strong performances across ACT and interstate events, where they regularly tested themselves against tough opposition and kept showing up to do the hard rounds in training.

A year of hard fights and big growth

Across 2025, Nick and Aurelia built their results on a foundation of regular training, strong basics and a willingness to enter big events, from local ACT competitions through to major interstate tournaments. Along the way they picked up podium finishes at key events like Canberra International and other Judo Australia-sanctioned tournaments, proving they can perform under pressure while still being great teammates and role models for our younger judoka.

Not just two standouts – a whole squad

These awards are a snapshot of a much bigger story at High Rollers: a growing junior competition squad where many athletes had breakthrough years, stepped up a division, or put themselves out there in very competitive fields. Several of our juniors narrowly missed top individual honours despite strong seasons, showing just how deep and competitive the ACT talent pool is right now.

Thank you to coaches, teammates and families

Behind every award is a community: coaches pushing for one more round, teammates providing tough but safe training, and families juggling schedules so kids can chase their goals. High Rollers is proud of everyone who represented the club in 2025—whether you brought home medals, hard‑earned wins, or simply more experience—and these U13 awards belong to the whole team.
